Sybil Bristowe

Other than the fact that she had a brother who fought in the 1914-18 World War, little is known of this poet. Her only poem that seems to have survived is the 1915 offering ‘Over The Top’, a description of a soldier waiting to go “over the top” . Presumably this was based on stories of her brother’s experiences.
